Description
No show captured the eccentricities of New York like the Larry David-created sitcom Seinfeld. Helping to define America’s view of New Yorkers, the series gained endless fans over its nine season run. Though it wasn’t the first show to assert the rudeness of Gotham’s citizens, its characters are selfish to a fault–not that there’s anything wrong with that. Self-obsessed comedian Jerry Seinfeld is joined in the cast by his neurotic ex-girlfriend, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus)… More >>

Interplanetary Funksmanship

Let me be the innocent child in “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and proclaim:
Jerry Seinfeld is not funny!
Oh, I know what you’re thinking: Here’s a guy who thinks Seinfeld was unfunny, but the cast was fun.
No. At best the rest of the cast was mildly amusing (although Jason Alexander is a talented actor, is not necessarily funny, so the two stars).
Because when it comes to business, “” Seinfeld * was * an “exhibition nothing “- in every sense of the word:
The semi-artificial places, rippled with a liner segments.
The cloying, boring , bass riff ejaculatory between shots.
Jerry Seinfeld posing as this hipster: Yeah, right, a hipster with a ludicrous mullet thick. At best, Seinfeld was an Upper West Side Hebrew version of Jeff Foxworthy. Want to know why people think Jewish men are pleased, metrosexual wimpish know-it-alls? Can I send Jerry Seinfeld as “Exhibit A.” If a WASP played Seinfeld as a Jew, who was accused of being bigoted racial insults against the Jewish people. Grating as fingernails a blackboard.
Oh, and speaking of weird hair-do’s: Is there anyone alive who thinks that Michael Richards as Kramer would even inspire a smile only when stripped of those ridiculous hair Brillo-pad? In three episodes, he would be out the door, after being reduced to haranguing black hecklers in the studio audience: It ‘a] [n-word! It 's a] [n-word!
Pathetic.
“Elaine”?
Puleeze! It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, is so flat.
Yawn.

Well, I seem to be the only star on a review here, which really does not like Seinfeld. But I’m going against the crowd and say that this show-it’s terrible. Boring and unfunny are two words that come to mind. Even Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (who does a great job in The New Adventures of Old Christine) can not save it. Avoid at all costs.

This show is so naive that they had to add laugh tracks because nobody else was laughing! All the jokes are stale and immature characters lack depth. To check out the great sitcom Full House, or anything with Lord Saget, Mind of Mencia, Charles in Charge, All-American Girl (with Margaret Cho!), Baby Bob and Even Stevens.

I live in Europe, and I paid much (shipping and taxes) to get the DVD of my wife’s birthday.
Guess my mind when I discovered that the DVD is useless in a DVD player in Europe. . . ?
I have not received a reply to my complaint yet, but I fear that it is cheaper to buy a new “zoneless DVD-player, than to send my DVD back?
